The Cooper-Hewitt Family at Ringwood Manor

The Cooper-Hewitt family began when Abram Hewitt met Edward Cooper (Peter Cooper's son) at Columbia College. At first he was his tutor, and then they traveled to Europe together. Later Peter, Edward, and Abram started the Trenton Iron Works, the first of many businesses they owned together. Abram and Sarah Amelia Cooper (Peter's daughter) fell in love and were married. They had six children, many of whom share names with their ancestors and the previous inhabitants of Ringwood Manor.

Links to the individual family members are below. Information is very scarce about some of the children even though they were all very interesting and did some significant things.
