Historic Clocks at Ringwood ManorRingwood Manor is home to four historic grandfather clocks. The clock at the head of the Ryerson stairs has always been working, and must be wound weekly. The clock by the Hewitt portico enterance is charred and possibly was an artifact saved from the original Erskine house which, rumor has it, burned down. The other clocks may have come from the Ryerson family, who had a brother/uncle who was a clockmaker. The two other clocks have recently been restored by the North Jersey Highlands Historical Society. |
